Robert A. Glancy III– President
From a young age, Bob and his brothers were always involved in building. His father started a small construction company in 1947 and once he returned from serving his country in Vietnam in 1970, Bob joined him. Since that time Bob and his brother have built up a small $1 million a year company to a $25+ million a year firm that has completed some amazing institutions throughout Western Pennsylvania. Bob oversees the day to day operations of the entire company. In addition Bob has been involved in many other organizations and associations. From President of the local athletic association to Chairman of the Allegheny County Republican Committee. His efforts to provide a better community in all facets are countless.
Tim joined his brother Bob in 1977 and has overseen some of the biggest projects that the company has undertaken. Since joining R.A. Glancy, Tim has been a key player in helping to move the company forward, specifically in department of defense contracts. Tim still manages several projects. Major projects he has recently managed include: Quaker Valley Middle School and Quaker Valley Middle School Football Field – Quaker Valley School District, Legacy Sports Field Complex – Quaker Valley School District, Fire System Modernization – 911th Air Lift Wing, Alter Base Entrance – 911th Air Lift Wing, Osborne Elementary School – Quaker Valley School District, Edgeworth Elementary School – Quaker Valley School District, Replace General Purpose Shop – PA Air National Guard, Operations & Support Buildings – PA Air National Guard, Vehicle Maintenance Facility – PA Air National Guard, Repair Latrine, Building 302 – PA Air National Guard, Dining Hall Facility – PA Air National Guard.
Since 1987, Gary has been a project manager on the R.A. Glancy team. He has a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. Major projects he has recently managed include: Chiller Plant Replacement – Butler VAMC, Mars Elementary School Renovation and Additions – Mars School District, Mars High School Renovation and Additions – Mars School District, Boozel Dining Hall – Slippery Rock University, Neshannock HS Kitchen & LGI – Neshannock Twp. School District, Canon MacMillan High School – Cannon MacMillan School District, North Allegheny Intermediate School – North Allegheny School District.
Tim joined R.A. Glancy in 1995 and has been overseeing projects ever since. Tim has an extensive background in construction and holds a degree in Electrical Engineering. Major projects he has recently managed include: North Fayette Community Center – North Fayette, Springdale High School – Allegheny Valley School District, HVAC Phase 7 & 9 – VAMC Butler, Demo Buildings 42 and 24 – VAMC Butler, Replace Center Elevator, Building 3 – VAMC Butler, Dutch Ridge Elementary School – Beaver Area School District, Additions and Renovations to Carrick High School – Pittsburgh City Schools.
Rob Glancy has been actively working with R.A. Glancy since 1993. Rob is a fourth generation builder who started like all of the Glancy’s before him, as a laborer in the field. He worked his way up to the position of foreman and in 2001 he was promoted to Project Manager. Major Projects that Rob has managed include: Renovate Food Service Kitchen – Altoona VAMC, Renovate Education Space – Altoona VAMC, Community Living Center Phase 3 – Butler VAMC, Domiciliary Phase 1 and 2 – Butler VAMC, Student Services Center – Butler County Community College, Richland Township Municipal Building – Richland Township, Ingomar Middle School – North Allegheny School District, North Allegheny Senior High School –North Allegheny School District, Center of Excellence – North Allegheny School District.
Upon graduating from Clarion University in 2006, he returned back to Pittsburgh to take over as the Safety Director. Shawn has been awarded numerous accolades for his involvement in the company safety program including: R.A. Glancy Safety Committee Chairman, ABC Safety Committee Chairman, 2011 Governors Award for Safety Excellence – Awarded by PA Dept. of Labor and Gov. Corbett, 2012 Associated Builders and Contractors – Diamond Level STEP Recipient, and 2012 ABC Safety Training and Education Hall of Fame Inductee. Recently Shawn has been promoted to Project Management, specifically Multiple Award Technical Offer Contracts. His recent projects include: Starbuck Security Gate – Erie VAMC, Conference Room Walls – Erie VAMC, Construct Security Vault – Youngstown 910th Airlift and Expansion Joint Replacement – Erie VAMC.
