R.A. Glancy & Sons, Inc. is a management professional general contracting business that oversees everything that has to do with large remodeling, renovations, or new, ground-up construction. R. A. Glancy takes pride in being able to say they employ dedicated, experienced project managers for each project they complete from estimating through the end of a project.

R.A. Glancy now has decades of experience working on schools, universities, municipal buildings, veteran’s hospitals, and for the Department of Defense. Recently, R.A. Glancy has started to dive into the design-build and private sector work.

Hands On Philosophy – R.A. Glancy understands that each project needs a dedicated full-time project manager who is on-site daily to keep the project on schedule and on budget.

Self-Performed Work – R.A. Glancy employs’ industry trained carpenters, operators, cement finishers, and laborers who are able to self-perform essential field work.

Dedicated Management Team – Our management team is not only available during normal work hours; they are available 24 hours a day for emergency needs that may arise.

Are you licensed?

Yes, we also carry Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business status as well as Small Disadvantage Business state certification.

Do you carry workman’s comp insurance for your employees?

R.A. Glancy not only carries workers’ comp, but Commercial General Liability, General Aggregate, Auto and Umbrella Insurance in standards for Federal and State projects as well.

Do you belong to any professional organizations and, if so, which ones?

What is the projected timeline for this project?

R.A. Glancy makes it a priority to finish every project on the owner’s timeline. Project Managers make detailed schedules to follow and are on site to ensure no problems arise. If a problem should arise R.A. Glancy makes it top priority to communicate with the owner and adjust the schedule accordingly with owner approval.

Will you be on site at all times to oversee progress of the job?

Yes. R.A. Glancy has staff on-site every day.

Will you provide me with daily updates?

R.A. Glancy completes Daily logs of the project progress, work completed, and personnel on site every day. You may request these logs at any time.

Will you offer a guarantee on your work, and, if so, what is the guarantee?

This is based on the contract requirements. Typically a project has a one year guarantee. In addition, we provide owners/ maintenance manuals, individual product warranties, and as-built drawings.

What is the daily work schedule?

R.A. Glancy’s typical employee workday is 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Monday thru Friday. We will also work on weekends or nights at the request of the owner, or as required to stay on schedule. Our staff is available 24hours a day.
